Tomorrow night, Barcelona will be facing Sevilla for the 1st leg of the Copa del Rey semi-final at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan. It will be exciting as the winner from this tie will have an advantage in the 2nd leg at Camp Nou. If Barcelona can get a win here, they will have an advantage of away goals considering the aggregate score. However, Sevilla already has the home advantage, so it won’t be easy for the Catalans. Both the teams have faced some good teams previously to reach here and they will be looking forward to moving onto the next stage.

Match Preview: Barcelona vs Sevilla:
Barcelona have already faced Sevilla this season once at the Camp Nou. That match ended in a 1-1 draw with De Jong (Sevilla) and Coutinho (Barcelona) scoring a goal each. The Catalans will be looking forward to avoid this kind of a result this time and give their best to win this match with a good lead. Talking about their all-time clashes, Barcelona have faced Sevilla 56 times to date. In those fixtures, the Catalans have largely dominated the Los Palanganas. They have emerged victorious 36 times and managed to draw 11 fixtures. This means that Sevilla have only been able to win against the Blaugranas 9 times. So, it will be interesting to see how this game pans out.

Right now, in La Liga, Barcelona is in the 3rd position i.e. 1 place above Sevilla. Both the teams have played 21 fixtures but Barcelona has 43 points whereas the latter has 42. So, the difference between the two teams isn’t much but surely Barcelona has been performing much better recently. The Catalans have not lost a single game in their last 5 fixtures. On the other hand, Sevilla have lost 1 game in their last 5 matches and won the remaining 4. Consequently, tomorrow’s match is going to be thrilling. Let us have a look at the list of Barcelona players that will be traveling to Sevilla for this tie.
Barcelona Squad for their 1st leg semi-final tie against Sevilla:
Goalkeepers: Inaki Pena, Ter Stegen, and Neto.
Defenders: Alba, Junior, Mingueza, Umtiti, and Lenglet.
Midfielders: Busquets, De Jong, Puig, Matheus, Pedri, and Ilaix.
Forwards: Messi, Dembele, Griezmann, Collado, Konrad, and Trincao.

This is a list of the players that will be traveling to Sevilla for the 1st leg tie of the Copa del Rey semi-final. This surely does come as a surprise because many first-team players are out due to injury. Sergino Dest has right thigh discomfort whereas Martin Braithwaite has a strained right adductor. Also, Pjanic also has some discomfort in his left foot. Apart from all these players, Roberto, Pique, Coutinho, and Fati are out due to their long term injuries. So, it will be interesting to see how Ronald Koeman lines up using these players. Let us have a look at the possible starting lineup for the game.

Predicted Starting 11 for Barcelona:
Ter Stegen; Alba, Mingueza, Lenglet, De Jong; Busquets, Puig, Pedri; Messi, Griezmann, and Dembele.
The lineup does come as a surprise but it does seem logical. Ter Stegen will start in the goal as always. In the defense, Mingueza and Alba will be the full-backs with De Jong and Lenglet acting as the center-backs. Araujo’s injury does not permit him to participate in today’s game and Umtiti also needs rest after starting in so many games back to back. Consequently, De Jong will be the center-back today and Umtiti might come on as a substitute. In the midfield, Puig might start for the first time along with Pedri and Busquets. With De Jong in the back, Barcelona needs creativity in the midfield and Puig can provide that along with Pedri. The attack will remain the same as always i.e. Griezmann, Dembele, and Messi being the forward 3.
