The Bears have reached an agreement with defensive back Jonathan Owens on a two-year deal, according to Mike Garafolo of NFL Media.
Owens, 28, joins the Bears after spending last season with the Packers, where he made significant contributions. In 17 games, he started 11 times, playing a total of 775 defensive snaps and 233 on special teams.
During the 2023 season, Owens showcased his versatility, accumulating 84 tackles, three pass breakups, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and even scoring a touchdown.
Before his time with the Packers, Owens spent four seasons with the Texans, where he played 31 games and made 19 starts.
Throughout his career, Owens has compiled impressive stats, tallying 227 tackles, one interception, one forced fumble, eight pass breakups, and two sacks.
