Later in 2018, he left for Toronto Raptors. This was a swap deal between Derozan and Kawhi. In 2019 Kawhi Leonard led the team to the NBA title against the reigning Golden State Warriors. Kawhi was the main focus of that Toronto team, and it was their first winning the Championship. Toronto is Canada’s only team in the NBA, and it was a matter of significant pride for them. Later in 2020, Leonard left for Los Angeles Clippers. Unfortunately, the team has not been able to be that successful, also because of recurring injuries. Kawhi has also missed more than a season now, as he is still recovering from the ACL injury that took place in early 2021.
