Norman Powell, the leading scorer for the Los Angeles Clippers, was not part of the lineup on Wednesday night against the Orlando Magic due to a hamstring injury.

Coach Tyronn Lue mentioned that Powell would also miss Friday’s home game against the Sacramento Kings.

Powell sustained the injury during the first half of Monday’s win over the Golden State Warriors and played just 26 minutes, a season-low, after returning in the second half.

He is currently averaging a career-high 23.3 points per game, leading the team. From October 26 to November 11, Powell scored at least 20 points in 10 straight games, setting a career-high streak. During this period, he averaged 26.9 points per game.

Powell has been a key player for the Clippers while superstar Kawhi Leonard has been sidelined due to ongoing knee issues.
