Quarterback Joe Burrow is getting ready for the Bengals’ organized team activities, and it seems like he won’t have his top wide receivers with him.

According to reports from the first Bengals OTA practice on Monday, neither Ja’Marr Chase nor Tee Higgins showed up. Defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins and offensive tackle Trent Brown also didn’t attend the voluntary workout.

Their absence isn’t unexpected. Chase could get a contract extension this summer and has been working out on his own. Meanwhile, Higgins asked for a trade after the team tagged him early in the offseason.

The Bengals will have a mandatory minicamp from June 11-13 to finish off their offseason program.
