The Buffalo Bills released wide receiver Lawrence Keys III to create space for quarterback Anthony Brown Jr.

The Bills officially announced the addition of quarterback Anthony Brown on Tuesday morning.

They also revealed that they have waived receiver Lawrence Keys III due to an injury to free up space on the active roster.

Keys had joined the Bills as an undrafted free agent from Tulane earlier this year.

Backup quarterback Mitchell Trubisky is dealing with a knee injury and is expected to miss the team’s preseason game against Carolina on Saturday. With starter Josh Allen also sitting out, Ben DiNucci is the only other quarterback on Buffalo’s roster.

James Brown is currently a senior at Utica University, studying communications and media with a minor in sports communications. He serves as the Sports Director at WPNR 90.7 FM, the university's radio station, and aspires to be a sports broadcaster
