Odell Cornelious Beckham Jr. is an American football player who plays for the Cleveland Browns in National Football League (NFL). Recently, the student-athlete went on to show ignorance regarding the pandemic. The COVID-19 has spread throughout the world and every day the number of cases keeps on increasing. United States is at the top with more than 9 million cases and 300,000 deaths. The government has also shown ignorance regarding the virus which is why the country has seen a spike.

During a conference on Wednesday, Beckham Jr. showed arrogance stating that he will not catch the virus when asked about the situation. He said that the virus will not be entering his body. A few weeks ago, he missed training sessions due to his health conditions and the Browns never revealed or shared any reports of his illness. So, the fans were worried that he might have contracted the virus.

They stated that the NFL is trying their best to spread awareness regarding the virus and maintain maximum safety for the players, coaches, and everyone else.

Even if a single person catches the virus, the person is not only a threat to the club but the entire League. LSU stated that they do not know why he commented the way he did, but such statements and actions are not tolerable and strict action will be taken. Odell is one of the best players from Louisiana State University. However, they recently lost a match and have not had much great of a season. The NFL wants to conduct their activities following certain guidelines and anyone who breaks them will have to face its consequences.
