The Premier League giants Manchester United are trying to contact Barcelona to sign the French international Ousmane Dembele on a loan deal. The 23-year old was in good form in the pre-season matches. He missed almost the entire previous season due to his hamstring injury. He is also said to be very irresponsible when it comes to his health and physicality. Barcelona can give Dembele, but only if they are keen on signing the Lyon star Memphis Depay. Dembele was on the bench in Barcelona’s 4-0 win against Villareal.
However, the Dutch manager Koeman did make it clear that Dembele was only out because they have many players, and also Ansu Fati has been in an incredible form. He also added that as long as Dembele is a part of the team, he will consider it. The talks right now are very light. However, it also looks like the signing of Memphis Depay for Barcelona and Jadon Sancho for Manchester United is fading away. Consequently, these will act as a boost for Dembele’s transfer. Koeman still wants to sign a center-back and a striker for Barcelona. So, for that, he will have to give up a player. Dembele is a great playmaker, but it looks like Ansu Fati can fill his shoes. Hence, the Balugranas will not regret even if they give up Dembele.
