Citi Field is all set to welcome the teams for this season of Base Ball.
The 2020 baseball schedule has been announced by the Washington Nationals along with the Major League Baseball. The match between Nationals and the New York Mets will mark the Opening Day of Nationals for the 16th season of the Nationals Baseball. Nationals have invited Dr.Anthony Fauci to throw the first pitch on Opening Day at Nationals Park.
Dr.Anthony Stephen Fauci born on December 24th is a renowned American Physician and immunologist and has been one of the lead members in the task force addressing the COVID 19 pandemic in the United States.
He has served for more than 36 years as the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. He is credited as the most trusted medical figures in the United States and a leading expert on the infectious disease by The New Yorker and The New York Times.
Dr.Fauci who is originally from Brooklyn says that he grew up as a fan of the Yankees but currently roots for both the team since he lives in Washington DC. He loves baseball and is known to have played baseball in the sandlot leagues and the Coney Island League and he also adds that he loves watching it as he is a very strong baseball fan.
He added he loves the rhythm of the game that soothes him and watches Max and Stephen at National Park which makes feel good when he is really stressed.
One of Dr.Fauci’s high school backcourt mate and friend said that he expects Fauci will want to do it from rubber at Nationals Park and adds that he might throw a curve that flattens out at the first strike.
This season will open nearly four months after it was originally scheduled to begin and President Trump would be skipping the honor of throwing the first strike as Dr.Anthony Fauci, is invited to do the honors who say that it is likely that we will be having television baseball than spectator baseball which is better than nothing.
Players are resuming their training and are ready to play without their fans and audience in the stands.
