LePress

Welcome! Fill in a few details and you'll be publishing in under a minute.

Requirements

To make sure only you can install this site: in your hosting File Manager, open the folder where you put LePress, then content/data, and open install-code.txt. Copy the code inside. The file is deleted once installation succeeds.

Where should LePress keep your content?
Which one should I choose?
  • Visitors: both handle a lot of traffic, because LePress serves pages from its cache without asking the database. What matters is how much is saved at the same moment.
  • Several writers saving at once, busy comments, forms, polls or a newsletter: choose MySQL.
  • A big archive (tens of thousands of posts) or a site you expect to grow: choose MySQL.
  • You want your host's database backups and phpMyAdmin: choose MySQL.
  • A personal blog or a small site, and nothing to set up: the built-in database is simplest and fast.
  • You cannot switch with one click later, so if you are unsure, choose MySQL.

First, in your hosting panel (cPanel: MySQL Databases): create a database, create a user with a password, and add the user to the database with All privileges. cPanel puts your account name in front of both names, for example myaccount_lepress.

Almost always localhost. Your host tells you if it is different.
How much should the dashboard show?

You can switch any time from the top of the dashboard. It only changes what you see.

Pick a design (optional; you can change it any time)
Have a license key? (optional)

Unlocks Pro designs and modules from CodeWebMedia.com. Skip it to start on LePress Free; you can add a key any time under Settings → License. If the license server can’t be reached, the key is saved and checked again later.
