Andy and Emma are out of Wimbledon 2022. It was a terrible day 3 for all the British fans as two of the most loved tennis players are out of the tournament. In round 2, they faced defeats. Andy Murray was against the very tall American, John Isner. It was always going to be a tough match as Isner’s serve is his biggest weapon, especially in Wimbledon. The fast-paced grass courts suit his serve and volley game. Emma was against the Spaniard Carolina Garcia who was not in the best of forms. The desire that Emma showed in the first round was impressive, considering she was against a tough opponent. Norrie had an extremely tough game but is the only one out of three to make it through to the next round.

The hopes of every British fan has been shattered, that too very early on in the competition. Their dream of watching their player to lift the Wimbledon trophy looks almost impossible now. It will be up to C. Norrie to figure out how to go about the situation. He is no doubt the highest rated British player in the tournament at #9 but the fans are not sure if he could make it. Nevertheless, it is their job to keep supporting no matter what. Moreover, he is only one left with the entire responsibility on his shoulders.

Andy and Emma have together been eliminated in the round 2, on day 3 of Wimbledon 2022. This was the last thing that fans expected but it happened. John Isner was Andy Murray’s opponent. It was supposed to be a tough fight and it went exactly that way. John started with complete domination. His first serve percentage was huge. The Scottish didn’t have any answers to his accurate and fast serves. Isner even proved to be a problem for Murray with his ground strokes. He was able to find his power, range, and the angles. Murray was in trouble from the beginning and it became really difficult for him to find a way. He lost the first set 6-4. Second set was a closer affair. Murray tried his best to keep himself in the set and took it to the tiebreaker.

However, it was just too difficult for him. He lost the second set in the tiebreaker 7-6. The third set followed a similar trail like the second. This time Andy kept fighting for every time. It again went to the tiebreaks where Andy somehow found a way to make a comeback. He won the set 6-7. Unfortunately, things didn’t follow the same way in the fourth and he lost the set 6-4. Andy, was out of Wimbledon.

Emma brought in a lot cheers when she entered the court. She faced Carolina Garcia from spain in round 2. From the get go, Garcia pounced on Emma like a Lioness and made her run a lot for every point. Emma couldn’t recover and lost the match 6-3 6-3.

C. Norrie was the only one who managed to win his round 2 in Wimbledon. But it was not an easy win. After winning the first set comfortably, he lost two consecutive sets. But somehow he collected himself and won the remaining two sets with a handsome margin. This made the only British player and the top seed to go through to next round.

After such a disappointing day, hope that Norrie is able to provide more joy to the British fans.

Wimbledon 2022 Day 3 is another exciting day to look forward to. After an amazing display of tennis on Day 1 and Day 2, the fans are expecting nothing less than spectacular. Day 1 saw a lot of matches going down the final five sets. Carlos Alcaraz was involved in one of the matches. He survived the match by winning it in the final set. Unfortunately for Hurkacz, it was the end of the road in round 1. He tried his best, fought till the end, but lost the match in five sets. As for Djokovic, he found himself in a little bit of trouble in the second set, lost it to the South Korean but bounced back immediately to win the match. Emma, Andy, and Norrie won their respective matches, keeping the Brits alive.

Day 2 started off with Iga Swiatek’s dominant performance. World no 1 cruised to the second round of Wimbledon. Rafael Nadal was up next, and he did give all of us a little scare. He was two sets up when he suddenly lost the third and was trailing in the fourth as well. But he dug in deep and managed to make a small comeback, winning the game in four sets. Serena Williams could not a dream back. In a three-set encounter, she lost the match by a whisker. Fans were left disappointed. Kyrgios’s match was the most entertaining. It went to the final set, and Kyrgios emerged victorious. Other top-seeded players managed to win their matches as well.

This makes for an interesting Day 3 at Wimbledon 2022.

Wimbledon 2022 Day 3: Novak Faces A Tough Aussie, Ruud Vs Humbert, And Alcaraz Faces A Dutch Opponent

Novak Djokovic, the defending champ, is set to face a tough Aussie in the form of Kokkinakis. This player is really powerful, has great first serve, and can damage opponents with his powerful strokes. It will be interesting to see if Novak finds it easy against such an opponent or if there is a surprise for us in store. Casper Ruud, the #3 seed in the tournament, is against the French Humbert. Not a lot is known about the French player, considering he is very young. But he has made it to the second round, which definitely means the kid is a great talent. Ruud must be at his best to see this game off, otherwise, he could be in for a big night.

Carlos Alcaraz cannot play the same way he played in the first round. He was below par or he still has not adjusted to the grass-court conditions. The Dutch player Tallon Greikspoor seems a very formidable opponent. Alcaraz must not lose his focus so as to have a great match.

The Brits Must March Along

Andy Murray, Emma Raducanu, and C. Norrie will be playing their matches today on day 3. Out of the three, Andy has probably the toughest match. He is against the tall American, John Isner, also considered a specialist in grass court. He has huge serves and a very good first-serve percentage. Andy has to wriggle through the American’s serve to have any chance of winning the match. Emma is up against C. Garcia. This should be a fairly easy round for Emma, the way she performed in the first round against a tricky opponent, she should be able to go past this round with ease. Norrie is the highest-seeded British, and he is against the Spanish J. Munar. The kind of form he is in, Norrie should win the match without being complacent.

Wimbledon 2022, Day 1 offered all of us a lot of exciting matches and much to look forward to. It showed players who are still finding their rhythm and trying to work it out. A major upset came on day 1 as Hubert Hurkazc crashes out in five sets. It was really an intense game, and he showed his fighting spirit but to no avail. On other fronts, #1 seed Novak Djokovic found his feet despite losing one set in the course of his victory. His opponent, the South Korean S. Kwon, showed great spirit and even managed to win a set. His forehand, in particular, was causing great problems for Djokovic, who had to find different variations in his game to find a winning combination.

As far as the Britain contingent is concerned, Emma, Andy, and Norrie won their first-round matches. Emma and Norrie, in particular, won in straight sets while Murray gave the audience a moment of tension. He lost the first set and didn’t look too comfortable on the grass at Centre Court. But slowly, he found his rhythm and ended the match in four sets. In other matches #2 seed O. Jabeur won the match against her Swedish opponent quite comfortably. #3 seed A. Kontaviet also raced through to the second round.

The Centre Court was again filled with fans who came to have a spectacle. Novak Djokovic started the match in the main court as the #1 seed. Overall, the matches were a bit affected because of the rain and got delayed a bit. The Serbian was again the South Korean S. Kwon, and both of them started off hitting nice winners. The Korean was performing better than everyone expected him to, and it was a great sign for the game, especially in round 1. Djokovic managed to win the first set with not too much difficulty, but his opponent bounced back. Kwon broke Djokovic’s serve and won the second set. His forehands and backhands looked really crisp and sharp and put Novak in trouble. But as the story went on, Novak stuck to his basics and took out the third and the fourth set. He won the game 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-4.

Emma Raducanu faced the tricky Belgian and world number 47 A. Van. Uytvanck in round 1. It was not an easy game for Emma as she had to battle it out for each point. She broke her serve late in the first set and won it 6-4. The score of the second set was the same even though Emma got the break early. She won the match 6-4, 6-4. Andy Murray was back in the Centre Court after a long time, and the fans were thrilled to see him back. He was against the Australian J. Duckworth, who started off brilliantly, winning the first set. But then Andy, like so many times in the past, dug deep, found his play, and won the remaining sets quite comfortably. He won the match 4-6, 3-6, 2-6, 4-6.

C. Norrie, the #10 seed at Wimbledon, won his game in straight sets.

Big Upset As Hurkacz Crashes Out

Wimbledon always gives us upsets, and this time it happened in the form of Hurkacz. The top Polish player and #5 seed crashed out in five sets. The rain delay maybe helped him make a comeback in the match, but he couldn’t finish it off. It was a very intense game and started off poorly for him. He lost the first two sets, and then a rain delay happened. He came back and won the two sets back-to-back, taking it to the fifth set. In a highly encountered fifth set, he lost 7-6( 10-8) in a tie-breaker.

Alcaraz had a scary start to the season though he won the first round. He was taken to the fifth set by a very focused opponent, the German J. Struff. The upcoming days look terrific for the tournament, and day 1 has already given us glimpses of it.

Andy Murray is originally Scottish and represents Great Britain as a nation. Born on 15 May 1987, Murray started playing tennis at a very early age. Throughout his professional career and before that, his mother has been his coach. Only at age 15, Andy with his mother Judy and elder brother Jamie moved to Barcelona to train at Sánchez-Casal Academy. When he turned pro, Andy showed his class and soon started to rise in the rankings. Since Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were always in the limelight, it sometimes became tough for other players to shine. But this was not the case with Andy nor with Novak. They both performed brilliantly and in a short span of time became the top breed. From there on, the top 4 emerged. It continued for many years and a number of grand slams were shared between the four of them.

Even though Murray has the least grand slams compared to the other three, he was always in the mix of things. Always competing, always giving tough fights. Wimbledon 2022 is here, and we can’t keep calm. The fans from all around the world have gathered in London to experience the two-week fest. Today is Day 1, and a lot of exciting matchups are here to entertain the crowd. Top seed Novak Djokovic is ready to start his campaign against his South Korean opponent S. Kwon at the iconic Centre Court. #3 seed Casper Ruud is also playing today against A. Ramos Vinolas from Spain. This could be a tricky match for the Norwegian as Ramos is an experienced grand slam player. Stan Wawrinka probably has the toughest match as he faces the #10 seed, J. Sinner, from Italy. Our home favorite Andy Murray is in action in the Centre court. It will be interesting to see him perform after a recent injury scare did not allow him to participate in the Queens.

Dimitrov, C. Norrie, and Hubert Hurkacz are all in action today on Wimbledon 2022 Day 1. As far as women’s tennis is concerned, teenage sensation Emma Raducanu will be going up against A. Van Uytvanck from Belgium. A very tricky match for Emma as she faces world no 47 in her first round. #2 seed A. Kontaveit is against the American B. Pera. Expectations are huge, and there is no room for excuses. People of the UK are waiting for a British champion for a long time now. To be fair, there are no major expectations from Andy Murray. Wimbledon 2022 draws are out, and predictions have started flowing in. Everyone is busy using their minds to set up potential clashes and predict their own winners. Even the number of sets, where the match will end, or the exact score of the sets are being discussed. But what better promotions for a tournament than this. The draws were held today at 10 am GMT, and there are some interesting matchups in the first round. From Britain’s point of view, Emma Raducanu will be up against  Alison van Uytvanck from Belgium. A very tricky opponent who knows how to send great players home in early rounds. She defeated Garbine Muguruza, the 2018 Wimbledon Champion, in an early round. Alsion is world no 47, so in no way she should be taken lightly.

Luckily for Emma, she was at the bottom end of the draw, so she would avoid facing Iga Swiatek until the final. Our long race horse, unseeded Andy Murray, will be facing James Duckworth of Australia. If he wins his first round, he will face Enzo Couacaud or John Isner in round two. As far as the comeback queen is concerned, Serena Williams will be up against world No 113 Harmony Tan. Serena is making her appearance after 2019, and it will great to see her back on the grass. Rafael Nadal has to face Francisco Cerundolo while Novak Djokovic plays world No 75 Soonwoo Kwon. If all goes well for both of them, then they are sure to face each other straight in the final.

Wimbledon 2022 Draws are here, and speculations have already begun. Carlos Alcaraz will face Jan-Lennard Struff in round one. Speaking about his chances on grass, Alcaraz said, “I don’t think this year it’s going to be my surface,”. “For sure, in the future, I can play pretty good on this surface if I play tournaments before Wimbledon, and I think I will feel comfortable playing on this surface.”. He has kept it low saying all this, but his potential has no limits. If all goes well for him in the first four rounds, it is likely he will be up against Novak Djokovic. That is one round nobody wants to miss, and everyone hopes it happens.

Rafael Nadal, Matteo Berrettini

For both the players to set up a clash against each other, they will have to make it to the semis. Before that, there is no chance of them playing each other. In the kind of form Berrettini is in, it would be extremely difficult for Rafa to win his third consecutive slam of the year. Matteo is a great grass-court player, this will definitely be a great contest.

Even though the chances are really slim, but if Andy Murray wins, he will be up against Novak in the quarters. That means he would have to beat Alcaraz before that, and if he beats Novak, then Rafa would be waiting for him in the final or Matteo. This would be nothing less than a fairytale for Murray.

World no 1 Iga Swiatek has a fairly easy first-round matchup. Her opponent is a qualifier, Jana Fett.

This past week we all saw some amazing performances from Andy Murray. It looked like the charm of the old Scottish is back and that maybe he will find his true spirit in Wimbledon. But seems like that is not going to happen now. The 2013 and 2016 Wimbledon champ suffered an injury while playing a grass-court tournament earlier this week. The kind of matches he played and the kind of players he beat were commendable. In that particular tournament, he managed to beat Nick Kyrgios. That was special, and further managed to reach the final before losing to Berrettini. Anyway, his performance was much appreciated by the fans, and we all got excited to see him perform.

2-3 years ago, nobody even thought Andy Murray could make a comeback like this. After the terrible hip replacement surgery, he announced his retirement. Millions of wishes came his way, and the likable personality left the sport. Then again, the grit of the Brit is something outstanding. He worked his way through again and made a comeback. Initially, he started playing doubles only. Later, he came to the singles arena and tried his best. His best was certainly not enough, but he kept on trying. Slowly after several months, we started seeing the old glimpse of Andy is his playing. Far from what he used to be, something was still better than nothing. And watching him perform recently, everybody’s heart just melted. It was looking as if he was getting better with every game, and we hoped of watching him again at Wimbledon. But how fate has it, again an injury came, and now he is out. The entire United Kingdom is in shock as Murray has been their sole hope for so many. Unfortunately, it does not seem to be the case now.

A Scottish guy, Andy Murray, has been the best British player for almost two decades. He is been inside the constant top 10 players for almost 10 years except for one month in 2008. Regardless, he has maintained his number 1 position in the ATP rankings for almost 41 weeks. A very nice all-court player, Andy Murray is a three-time grand slam winner, winning Wimbledon twice in 2013 and 2016 and one US Open in 2012. He also has the gold medal to his name at the London Olympics in 2012. The only player in the history of tennis to have won back-to-back gold medals in the Olympics. He retained his medal by defeating Juan Martin Del Potro in the final of the 2016 Rio Olympics. He is arguably the most celebrated Male tennis player in British History.

It is a part of the All-England-Tennis Club. Probably the only Grand Slam tournament where the British Royal Family marks their presence.
