Martin Keown and Jermaine Jenas Not Impressed by Liverpool Players Positioning and Performance Against Wolves

Martin Keown, a TalkSPORT analyst, criticized Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp for positioning Alexis Mac Allister improperly during the opening period of the Premier League match against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday.

The former Arsenal star expressed his dissatisfaction with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp’s choice to play Mac Allister in a defensive midfield position, highlighting his lack of approval.

According to the analyst, the 24-year-old midfielder should move a little bit further forward.

Keown stated in the 24minute: “Whether it’s the best role, not quite so sure. I think he would probably be better higher up in that midfield, and somebody else sits deep.”

Alexis Mac Allister’s Attempt to Fill Fabinho’s Shoes at Liverpool

During the first half against the Wolves, Mac Allister took 53 touches, a pass accuracy rate of 86.4%, one header, and three tackles.

In Liverpool’s midfield, Mac Allister is seeking to fill Fabinho’s position, but it’s important to remember that Fabinho is a more conventional defensive midfielder.

Although Mac Allister can play in more forward roles, he might not be as skilled at defending the backline as Fabinho. Although the Argentinean international has more dynamism, He doesn’t excel in recovering the ball as effectively as Fabinho did during his time at Liverpool.

Jermaine Jenas Unimpressed with Darwin Nunez’s Performance.

While watching Darwin Nunez play for Liverpool against Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon, Jermaine Jenas had some concerns about the sticker’s performance.

The ex-Tottenham Hotspur midfielder has asked whether Darwin Nunez, the striker from Liverpool and Uruguay, possesses the natural goal-scoring abilities.

Jenas made the remarks when he was watching Darwin Nunez play today in the Premier League match between Liverpool and Wolves away from home at the Molineux Stadium.

Nunez had an opportunity to score for The Reds in the 65th minute. Jenas quoted on BBC Sport: “This is the one conversation we keep having about Darwin Nunez.

“Is he a natural goal scorer or not? You would think he’d be there, but he just switched off.”

Liverpool Expects Darwin Nunez to Shine in the Future

We believe that Liverpool’s striker Darwin Nunez will sooner or later find success with the team. While he sometimes misses opportunities and makes bad decisions, he can also display a lack of composure in his finishing.

However, Nunez possesses speed and often positions himself well on the field.

The primary issue with the striker is that he is not taking advantage of the opportunities that are presented to him. We anticipate that once Nunez begins scoring, a surge in his goal-scoring may follow.

A BBC Pundit Said a 24-year-old Player Has Recently Delivered His Finest Performance While Playing for Liverpool

Pundit Leon Osman had a lot of good things to say about Liverpool’s striker, Darwin Nunez. This was after he watched his great performance in the match against Aston Villa earlier.

Leon Osman, a great Pundit of Football, thought Darwin Nunez did really well this afternoon when Liverpool played against Aston Villa at Anfield. This was a game Liverpool won easily.

Liverpool was much better than Unai Emery’s team. Dominik Szoboszlai did not waste time to score a fantastic goal for Liverpool to start the game.

Liverpool equalized their second goal when Darwin Nunez kicked the ball towards the goal, but it hit the post and then bounced off Matty Cash and went straight into the net.

Mohamed Salah scored another goal to make it 3-0. He secured an easy win for Liverpool team. This is their third consecutive win in the Premier League.

Nunez did not score any goals today. He might have felt frustrated because he could not put the ball in the net. This happened just a week after he scored two goals in another game against Newcastle United.

Nunez tried his best to score by taking five shots, but he did not target very well to make them go into the goal. All he did was to hit the goal frame (the woodwork) two times but still did not manage to score.

Nunez is always a player that the other team is careful. This is because he is really good at creating good chances. However, he still needs to work on scoring goals more regularly.

Pundit Leon Osman, that once played for Everton, has told BBC Sport that this game was Nunez’s best game.

Osman said Darwin Nunez played well today, and he admired it. “He was a very good as I have ever seen him so far in the team.” Osman was very impressed with Nunez.

It is Time for Darwin Nunez to Plan More in Playing for Liverpool Team

Nunez seemed to get better with two beautiful goals that helped Liverpool secure a win over Newcastle.

Nunez did not score many goals against Villa, but he can still be a big threat on the field based on how good he is.

What we hope to see now is Nunez getting even more chances to play as the main striker for Liverpool team.

Liverpool has other good players like Cody Gakpo and Diogo Jota, who are very good in the middle, but right now, it is also important to give Nunez the chance to be the main striker.

It is clear that this 24-year-old player has many skills, and he can show even more of it if he gets to play in the team all the time.

Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp should allow Nunez to keep playing for the team after the break. He should trust that Nunez will play well as he did against Newcastle in the future.

Michael Owen Believes That a 24-year-old Liverpool Player Has the Potential to Become a Top-class Player

Michael Owen thinks that Liverpool’s 24-year-old striker, Darwin Nunez, has the potential to become a top-class player in the future.

The former Liverpool striker, Michael Owen, made it known on Premier League Productions that he sees a lot of potential in Darwin Nunez.

However, Owen has also pointed out some negative facts. He said that the 24-year-old striker has some areas of his game that he really needs to work on to get better.

The pundit, on their part, believes that if the Uruguay international continues to get better and work on different aspects of his game, then for sure he will reach his full potential.

Owen, if quoted, said: “I think Darwin Nunez has the potential to become a very good player for Liverpool, but there are areas in his game where he needs to work on for improvement.”

“The timing he has when it comes to heading is perfect. However, when the ball is on the ground, his shots can sometimes be a bit off target.”

“He is a very good player when the ball is in the air.

“Nunez needs to work on changing angles. He needs to work on making better decisions if he wants to become a better player than what he is at the moment.”

Darwin Nunez Could Become a Good Player for Liverpool

“We think that Darwin can actually become a big star player for Liverpool in the future.

As Michael Owen said, Darwin Nunez still has some things to learn and improve in his game. He still has some work to do to become even better.

We hope that with Jurgen Klopp as his coach, Nunez will improve even more than our expectations.

Many times, we keep talking about how good Mohamed Salah is when it comes to scoring goals.

But we should not forget that Salah became even better after he joined Liverpool and started working with Klopp and his coaches, and that made him what he is today.

Salah scored fifteen goals when he played in twenty-nine games for Fiorentina in 2016-17. Before that, he scored fourteen goals while playing in thirty-two games for the Italian club in 2015-16.

The Egyptian forward scored a whopping thirty-two goals in thirty-four Premier League starts in the 2017-18 season, and he has been on fire ever since.

Nunez can also follow a similar path in his career. So far, Nunez has played in 33 Premier League matches in his career.

In those matches, if analyzed, Nunez has scored 11 goals and provided four assists. That’s very impressive.
