Josh Allen Listed Day-to-Day, Eyes Historic Milestone Ahead of Eagles Clash

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has been listed as day-to-day due to a sore right foot, according to coach Sean McDermott on Monday. Despite the injury, McDermott expects Allen to play this weekend when the Bills host the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. The quarterback sustained the foot injury late in the second quarter of Buffalo’s 23-20 win over Cleveland, but did not experience any setbacks overnight.

Josh Allen Plays Through Foot Injury, Completing 130 Yards Despite No Touchdowns

Allen’s injury occurred when he scrambled in the backfield and appeared to catch his foot in the turf near the Buffalo 1-yard line. Officials ruled it a 22-yard sack split between Myles Garrett and Alex Wright. Allen managed to continue playing, gaining one yard on the next play before the Bills punted. He was examined immediately on the sideline and removed his right shoe, but tests on his foot came back negative.

In the game against Cleveland, Allen completed 12 of 19 passes for 130 yards, going 6 of 12 for 44 yards in the second half. He also added 17 rushing yards on seven carries, including two kneel-downs in the final minute. Despite his efforts, Allen was held without a touchdown pass or rushing score, marking only the third time this season that he finished a game without a touchdown.

Josh Allen Eyes Historic 300th Touchdown While Leading Bills Toward Playoff Berth

Allen is close to a major milestone, needing just one more touchdown to become the first NFL player to reach 300 before turning 30. He has not missed a start since his rookie season in 2018, aside from four games missed due to a throwing elbow injury. His current 120-game streak of consecutive regular-season starts is the longest active run among NFL quarterbacks.

The Bills have been strong this season, winning four straight games and five of their last six. With an 11-4 record, Buffalo is in position to clinch its seventh consecutive playoff berth, depending on outcomes from Houston or Indianapolis. Allen’s availability for the upcoming game against the Eagles will be crucial as Buffalo looks to maintain its momentum heading into the postseason.

Texans Shut Down Josh Allen as Houston’s Defense Carries Them to a Statement Win Over Buffalo

The Houston Texans, ranked No. 1 in defense coming into Thursday night, showcased their strength in a 23-19 victory over the Buffalo Bills. The matchup featured one of the NFL’s top offenses, led by reigning MVP Josh Allen, against the league’s stingiest defense. While the Bills averaged 29.2 points per game, Houston allowed just 16.4 points and 258 yards per game, proving their defensive prowess.

Texans’ Dominant Defense Overwhelms Bills, Highlighted by Bullock’s Game-Changing Turnovers

Houston’s defense effectively stifled Buffalo, sacking Allen eight times, a career high for the quarterback. Safety Calen Bullock was pivotal, forcing three turnovers, including two interceptions and a fumble, with one interception ending the game. The Texans also pressured Allen on a third of his dropbacks, limiting him to only two completions and one first down during those plays, demonstrating the team’s dominant pass rush.

Bullock’s performance marked his first multi-interception game, highlighted by a critical pick on fourth-and-6 in the closing seconds. Defensive end Danielle Hunter and Will Anderson Jr. contributed significantly, each recording 4.5 combined sacks. The defense’s cohesive effort forced Buffalo into difficult situations and ultimately secured the win, earning praise from head coach DeMeco Ryans and recognition with a game ball for Bullock.

Texans’ Record-Setting Defense Powers Playoff Hopes Despite Challenging AFC South Path

Houston’s eight sacks matched the franchise single-game record, previously set twice in 2016 and 2024. Bullock became the first player since Week 6 of 2024 to record two interceptions and a forced fumble in a regular-season game. His two picks also moved him to third in the NFL for interceptions since 2024, highlighting both his individual skill and the Texans’ defensive dominance this season.

The Texans improved to 6-5, with ESPN Analytics giving them a 35% chance to reach the playoffs and a 7% chance to win the AFC South. While their path remains challenging, Houston’s defense continues to provide hope for consistent victories. After a mini-bye, they face the division-leading Indianapolis Colts in Week 13, a matchup that could significantly impact their playoff ambitions following a 0-3 start.

Week 9 NFL Thrillers: Last-Minute Comebacks, Record Field Goals, and Star Performance

After a relatively uneventful Week 8 filled with blowouts, Week 9 of the NFL season delivered high drama and excitement. Multiple games went down to the wire, keeping fans on the edge of their seats. Sunday featured several last-minute comebacks and close finishes, including a standout matchup in Cincinnati and a high-profile clash between the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs.

The Chicago Bears pulled off an improbable win over the Cincinnati Bengals in a game full of twists. Trailing by two touchdowns with just five minutes remaining, the Bengals rallied with Joe Flacco connecting on a late touchdown and a two-point conversion to narrow the deficit.

An onside kick recovery gave Cincinnati one final chance, leading to a 9-yard touchdown pass that put them ahead with under a minute to go. However, Bears quarterback Caleb Williams delivered a game-winning 58-yard touchdown to Colston Loveland with just 17 seconds left, sealing a 47-42 victory.

Josh Allen Shines as Vikings, Bills Secure Crucial Wins in Sunday Showdowns

In Sunday’s marquee matchup, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen outperformed Patrick Mahomes, leading his team to a 28-21 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. Allen was nearly flawless, completing 23 of 26 passes and contributing two rushing touchdowns. Despite a late surge from the Chiefs, including a fourth-quarter touchdown by Kareem Hunt, Buffalo’s defense held firm, knocking down Mahomes’ final Hail Mary attempt to secure the win.

The Minnesota Vikings, with quarterback J.J. McCarthy back in action, defeated the Detroit Lions 27-24 in a critical NFC North clash. McCarthy managed the game efficiently, showing poise under pressure despite modest stats. A clutch 16-yard pass to Jalen Nailor on a key third down late in the game allowed Minnesota to run out the clock, maintaining momentum in one of the league’s tightest divisional races. All four NFC North teams remain closely bunched, separated by fewer than two games.

Washington’s Injuries Mount as Record-Setting Field Goals Highlight Thrilling Week Nine Finishes

Washington’s hopes for a strong season suffered a setback as quarterback Jayden Daniels suffered a severe left arm injury during a 38-14 loss to the Seattle Seahawks. Daniels had already missed games due to previous knee and hamstring injuries, and this dislocated elbow is expected to sideline him for an extended period. The Seahawks dominated early, scoring four touchdowns in the first half and effectively putting the game out of reach for Washington.

Sunday also featured remarkable kicking feats and dramatic finishes. Jacksonville’s Cam Little set a new NFL record with a 68-yard field goal in the Jaguars’ 30-29 overtime win over Las Vegas. Other games ended on clutch kicks, including Carolina’s 49-yard game-winner against Green Bay and Denver’s 34-yard field goal to top Houston. Meanwhile, a missed extra point by Atlanta proved decisive in a 24-23 loss to New England, highlighting how critical special teams can be in close contests.

Josh Allen Stays Supportive as James Cook Holds In Amid Bold Contract Standoff with Bills

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen is keeping a level head regarding James Cook’s ongoing holdout during training camp. Despite Cook’s absence from on-field activities, Allen emphasized that it’s no different from any player dealing with an injury, noting that others have stepped up in Cook’s place.

He praised running backs Ray Davis and Ty Johnson for capitalizing on the extra reps, especially highlighting Johnson’s third-down capabilities. Allen reiterated Cook’s value to the team and expressed hope for a resolution to the situation.

Cook Holds In as Contract Talks Stall Amid Salary Cap and Roster Challenges

James Cook, entering the final year of his rookie contract, is in a standoff with the Bills over a new deal. The running back has been engaged in contract negotiations throughout much of 2025.

General manager Brandon Beane has publicly supported Cook but acknowledged the challenges of distributing high salaries within the salary cap while maintaining a championship-caliber roster. The impasse reflects the broader financial constraints teams face when balancing elite talent and cap management.

James Cook

In a move that surprised the Bills’ front office, Cook initially reported to training camp on time, signaling good faith. However, after a week, he chose to limit his participation to protect his health, effectively staging a “hold-in.”

This tactic allows players to be present without risking injury during unresolved contract disputes. Cook has opted to watch from the sidelines while negotiations continue, demonstrating his intent to secure long-term security without jeopardizing his future.

Running Backs Face Declining Value Amid Cook’s Bold Contract Demands and Negotiations

Cook is reportedly seeking a contract worth $15 million per year, a number currently earned only by a select few elite running backs such as Saquon Barkley, Christian McCaffrey, and Derrick Henry. With so few players at the position reaching that salary tier, Cook’s request is seen as a bold one.

His negotiations have been further complicated by the Rams’ recent deal with Kyren Williams, which came in at $11 million annually. The overall situation highlights how the running back position has lost financial priority in today’s NFL.

Josh Allen voiced support for Cook’s decision, acknowledging the business realities of the NFL. He stressed the significance of players securing generational wealth and recognized that such decisions are often misunderstood by the public.

While Allen doesn’t influence contract talks, he trusts Cook’s professionalism and preparation. As negotiations continue, the Bills wait for a resolution, knowing Cook’s back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons have made him a vital part of their offense.

Josh Allen Shines as NFL MVP and Role Model On and Off the Field

Josh Allen’s 2024 NFL MVP title cemented his status as one of the league’s premier quarterbacks, but his impact goes well beyond the field. After receiving the award, Allen was met with widespread admiration, not just from fans and teammates, but also from young patients at Oishei Children’s Hospital in New York.

Known for carving out time to support youth and community causes, Allen consistently proves that his leadership extends into everyday life.

Josh Allen’s Respectful Gesture Toward Military Members Wins Hearts Across Team Rivalries

Following a recent practice session, Allen created another heartwarming moment by honoring a group of military members. He removed his cap in a gesture of respect, shook each person’s hand, and signed autographs. The interaction, though simple, struck a powerful chord. Captured on video, the moment quickly spread across social media, highlighting Allen’s humility and genuine character.

The online reaction was swift and overwhelmingly positive. Sports commentator Clay Travis called the moment “impossible not to love,” and fans echoed the sentiment. Notably, even fans of rival teams like the Chiefs and Dolphins expressed admiration for Allen, with comments praising him as “a class act” and “a quality person.” His ability to unite fans across team lines speaks volumes about his influence.

Josh Allen Puts Team First, Prioritizing Legacy Over Personal Gain in Contract Decision

Allen’s off-field leadership is also evident in how he handles his business. Earlier in the offseason, he signed a six-year, $350 million contract extension with the Bills. While he could have demanded more, Allen intentionally kept his asking price reasonable to protect the team’s salary cap. “What is $5 million more going to do for my life?” he said, showing a rare sense of perspective and responsibility for the team’s future.

With the 2025 NFL season approaching, Allen is set to lead the Bills into their September 7 opener against the Baltimore Ravens. Since his 2018 draft, he’s become the undeniable face of the franchise. But it’s his character, not just his talent, that sets him apart. From fan interactions to financial sacrifice, Josh Allen exemplifies what it means to be a true leader in professional sports.

Josh Allen Credits Clean Eating and Swimming for Peak Fitness, Inspired by Marriage and NFL Demands

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, 29, has taken a disciplined approach to his fitness and diet, revealing to GQ that his current regimen is the best it’s ever been. Recently married to actress Hailee Steinfeld, Allen admitted that personal milestones have motivated him to stay in top shape, both for his health and to look sharp at events.

While not a fan of strict eating windows like intermittent fasting, Allen prefers a light breakfast or even skips it altogether, depending on how he feels each morning.

Allen Focuses on Clean Eating, Strength Training, Swimming, and Recovery for Peak Performance

Allen’s diet emphasizes protein sources like steak, chicken, fish, and particularly sushi, which he praises for its nutritional balance and variety. Though he doesn’t obsessively count calories, he is intentional about eliminating butter and dairy to maintain a cleaner diet. When back in Buffalo, he benefits from a team chef who cooks meals twice a week, ensuring that his food remains both nutritious and tailored to his performance needs.

Allen trains four days a week, alternating between upper and lower body workouts, with swimming as a go-to full-body exercise. Having swum competitively growing up, he finds it an excellent way to condition his body without excessive joint strain.

He also prioritizes rest and recovery, aiming for 8½ to 9½ hours of sleep nightly and incorporating modern recovery tools like an infrared sauna with red light therapy, which he and his wife use regularly.

NFL Stars and Chefs Prioritize Clean, Balanced Meals for Peak Athletic Performance and Recovery

Allen isn’t the only NFL player taking diet and fitness seriously. Raheem Mostert of the Las Vegas Raiders, for example, practices moderation and avoids foods that trigger inflammation, like cheese. His approach is about sustainable, smart choices rather than strict restrictions. Similarly, other NFL players focus on meals that provide clean energy, balancing protein and carbohydrates for optimal performance.

NFL chefs and performance dietitians are also key players in athletes’ success. Erin Wishon, the Kansas City Chiefs’ executive chef, recommends lean steak with rice as a breakfast staple for its high protein and energy content.

Meanwhile, Roman Montijo, performance chef for the Philadelphia Eagles, highlights nutrient-dense options like bone broth and breakfast quinoa. Across the league, these strategic dietary choices reflect the evolving and highly personalized approach to nutrition among elite athletes.

Josh Allen Wins MVP in Tightest Race in Decades as NFL Honors Deliver Surprises

The biggest surprise of the night came in the form of the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award. While the Associated Press (AP) voters had named Lamar Jackson as the first-team All-Pro quarterback, they chose to award MVP honors to Josh Allen instead. This broke a 38-year trend where the All-Pro quarterback also won MVP.

Allen admitted to being shocked by the decision, acknowledging that Jackson was equally deserving of the award. The voting was one of the closest in history, with Allen securing 27 first-place votes compared to Jackson’s 23. This marked the closest MVP race since 2003 when Peyton Manning and Steve McNair tied for the award. Allen also became the third Buffalo Bills player to win MVP, joining Thurman Thomas (1991) and O.J. Simpson (1973).

Kevin O’Connell Wins Coach of the Year

For the third time in five years, a coach named Kevin won the AP Coach of the Year award. This time, it was Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell who took home the honor. He became the first Vikings coach to win the award since Bud Grant in 1969. Under his leadership, the Vikings finished with a 14-3 record and nearly won the NFC North.

O’Connell’s ability to lead the team, particularly revitalizing quarterback Sam Darnold’s career, played a major role in his recognition. He received 25 first-place votes, edging out Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell, who finished in second place with 19 votes.

Jayden Daniels Continues the Heisman to Rookie of the Year Trend

Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels won the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year (OROY) award, continuing a trend where Heisman Trophy winners go on to win OROY in the following season. Daniels became the fourth player since 2000 to accomplish this feat, following Kyler Murray, Cam Newton, and Vince Young.

Additionally, he secured the Next Gen Stats Moment of the Year award for his Hail Mary touchdown pass against the Chicago Bears. Daniels is now the third player from Washington to win OROY, joining Robert Griffin III (2012) and Mike Thomas (1975).

This year’s NFL Honors was hosted by legendary rapper Snoop Dogg, who entertained the audience with sharp humor and bold jokes. He opened the night by jokingly referring to the Super Bowl matchup as being between the Eagles and the referees. Another memorable moment came when he quipped about Patrick Mahomes’ dominance in the AFC, calling it “the Big Easy.”

Snoop also took a shot at Bill Belichick, referencing the coach’s relationship with a much younger woman. The audience responded with laughter, though Broncos head coach Sean Payton seemed unimpressed when the camera panned to him after a joke about Mahomes.

In New York, Booger McFarland said Josh Allen won MVP over Lamar Jackson due to “feelings.”

Josh Allen was named MVP at the NFL Honors ceremony last night, but this decision upset many people on social media. A lot of fans argued that Lamar Jackson should have won the award instead of Allen. One of the people who was upset about Jackson not winning was Booger McFarland.

“I thought it was wrong. I think you can make a case that Josh Allen did more with less … but if Lamar Jackson won the MVP last year, this year he’s been probably 1-and-a-half times better than last year,” McFarland said. “When you have humans voting on this award, we’re subjected to feelings. And those feelings are, (Jackson) has won two, we’ve gotta give Josh one.”

“It just goes to show you how us as humans, and I get it, when we vote on awards, our feelings get involved,” McFarland added.

Jackson became the first player in NFL history to have more passing yards, more passing touchdowns, fewer interceptions, a higher completion percentage, more rushing yards, and a higher rushing average than the MVP of that season.

MVP voting results showed that Allen received 383 points, including 27 first-place votes, narrowly beating Jackson, who had 362 points and 23 first-place votes. Jackson earned the most second-place votes at 26.

Josh Allen passes in the 1st half

Allen played a big role in leading the Bills to the AFC Championship for the second time in five seasons. He finished the 2024 regular season with 3,371 passing yards, 531 rushing yards, 41 offensive touchdowns, a 101.4 passer rating, and only six interceptions.

He earned AFC Offensive Player of the Week honors four times and made history as the first player to record at least 25 touchdowns, 10 rushing touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown in a season.

Jackson, who is no stranger to the MVP award after winning it in 2019 and last year, set career highs in the 2024 season with 4,172 passing yards, 41 touchdown passes, a 119.6 quarterback rating, and 316 completions.

He also led the league in rushing yards by a quarterback with 915 yards and became the first player in NFL history to have at least 4,000 passing yards and 800 rushing yards. Last month, Jackson was named the 2024 MVP by the Pro Football Writers of America.

Buffalo Bills may target hidden gem for Josh Allen in 2025 draft

The Buffalo Bills are committed to supporting their star quarterback, Josh Allen, who recently won the NFL MVP award, narrowly beating Lamar Jackson. After falling just short of reaching the big game, the Bills are eager to improve and are expected to be aggressive this offseason.

One area they may look to improve is the wide receiver position, possibly bringing in a proven player for Allen. They could also target a playmaker in the 2025 NFL Draft, even without using a first or second-round pick.

One player who could be a great option is Maryland wide receiver Tai Felton. Felton had an impressive 2024 season, catching 96 passes for 1,124 yards and 9 touchdowns. He’s seen as a potential sleeper pick for the Bills in the fourth round, at pick No. 131.

Josh Allen celebrates after scoring

Felton isn’t expected to be a key contributor in his first season, but he could develop into an important piece down the road. He has a playing style similar to New Orleans Saints’ Chris Olave, with speed and solid route running, but his lack of physicality could hold him back as a top option. However, his talent could make him valuable for Buffalo.

Felton’s impressive college numbers make him worth considering for the Bills if he’s available in the fourth round, even though he may take time to develop.
