Sports Al Dente
While Delhi Capitals captain Rishabh Pant has appeared in good form in IPL 2022, his batting performances haven't met expectations, according to Aakash Chopra.
Despite Pant's outstanding scores of 20-30, according to the former Indian opener, those will not be enough to keep his team in the competition.
In IPL 2022, the 24-year-old has 144 runs at an average of 36 and a strike rate of 146.94.
In a losing cause, his top score of 43 came off 29 balls against the Gujarat Titans.
Pant's form will be scrutinised as Delhi takes against the Punjab Kings at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday, according to the IPL schedule 2022. (20 April).
Pant's premature departure for 34 runs off 17 balls facing the Royal Challengers Bangalore was a major factor in Delhi's earlier 16-run loss.
The wicket of the DC captain put the IPL squad in serious trouble at 142 for six while chasing 190.
Rishabh Pant’s bat hasn’t done the talking yet.
He did score 34 off 17 in the last game, but we are waiting for him to make that big score of 70 or 80, for that matter even a hundred.
