Dwyane Wade, the Miami Heat legend, recently unveiled his second eyewear collection with the renowned brand Versace, marking another milestone in his successful foray into business and fashion since retiring from the NBA. Serving as the face of Versace’s men’s collection, Wade expressed his excitement about the collaboration.
In addition to discussing his expectations for the collection, Wade delved into his personal style evolution over the years. He disclosed that he devotes time to nurturing his style and finds fulfillment in self-care practices.
Addressing critics who scrutinize his self-care routines, including painting his nails, the Hall of Famer revealed that he pays little heed to such negativity. At this stage of his life, he emphasized his confidence in his identity and emphasized that he prioritizes self-care for his own satisfaction.
“I don’t let it bother me much. Back in my 20s, it might have affected me more. At 42, I’m comfortable in my masculinity, and I embrace self-care as part of my routine,” shared Dwyane Wade in an interview with Esquire. “This is just who I am. I don’t do it for others—I do it for myself. I enjoy it. The opinions of others don’t bother me. I’ll happily return to the nail salon and select the colors that appeal to me.”
