Andy Roddick and tennis journalist Jon Wertheim have shared their predictions for Super Bowl 2024, injecting some humor by shifting their focus from the game itself to pop star Taylor Swift.

The defending champions, the Kansas City Chiefs, are gearing up to face off against the San Francisco 49ers in what promises to be an exciting showdown on February 11. The Chiefs secured their spot in the Super Bowl by defeating the Baltimore Ravens 17-10 in the AFC Championship game.

Amidst the anticipation for the big game, attention turned to the rumored presence of Taylor Swift, who was spotted embracing Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce after their victory. Swift’s potential appearance at Kelce’s upcoming Super Bowl game sparked speculation and excitement among fans.

During the latest episode of the ‘Served with Andy Roddick’ podcast, Roddick and Jon Wertheim engaged in some playful betting, focusing on Swift’s potential involvement in the event. They placed “prop bets” on various scenarios related to Swift’s presence at the Super Bowl.

One of the bets revolved around whether a touchdown would be scored first or if a live shot of Swift would be shown first. Wertheim predicted a touchdown, citing potential backlash against excessive coverage of Swift. Conversely, Roddick believed that networks would prioritize maximizing ratings and would feature Swift early on.

The duo also wagered on Swift’s lipstick color, with both agreeing that she would opt for “Kansas City Chiefs red.” They then debated how many times Swift would be shown on screen during the game, setting the over/under at 5.5. While Wertheim leaned towards the over, Roddick favored the under, suggesting that the NFL would showcase Swift early to ensure viewer engagement.

Despite their playful bets, Roddick and Wertheim agreed that it was unlikely for the Super Bowl MVP to mention Swift in his speech, highlighting the unpredictability and entertainment value of the upcoming game.
