Arsenal’s interest in RB Salzburg midfielder Oscar Gloukh has sparked attention in the footballing world. The 19-year-old Israeli talent has been catching the eye with his stellar performances of late.
Gloukh’s remarkable form this season includes six goals and seven assists in 26 appearances across various competitions. Notably, he has contributed four goals and as many assists in 16 Austrian Bundesliga matches, aiding Salzburg’s position atop the table, with a slender two-point lead over Sturm Graz after 17 games.
The Gunners are in the market for midfield reinforcements, especially with Jorginho nearing the end of his contract and Thomas Partey’s fitness concerns casting doubt on his long-term prospects.
According to reports from TBR (via Football Transfers), Mikel Arteta’s side has taken notice of Gloukh’s impressive displays at Salzburg and is considering a move to bring the young talent to the Emirates Stadium. Barcelona had also shown interest in the Israel international, but their pursuit came too late, and Gloukh opted to join Salzburg in January 2023.
Salzburg, having acquired Gloukh for £6 million, are reportedly seeking a substantial return on their investment, setting his price tag at £18 million for potential suitors like Arsenal in the upcoming summer transfer window.
