After providing commentary for the first pay-per-view event of the year at UFC 297, Daniel Cormier and Dominick Cruz are set to return to the commentary booth this weekend for UFC Vegas 86. The event will be headlined by a middleweight clash between Jack Hermansson and Joe Pyfer.
Joining the former UFC champions at the commentary desk will be sportscaster Brendan Fitzgerald, while Megan Olivi will serve as the roaming reporter for the event.
Hermansson, coming off a 2-3 record in his last five fights, will be eager to bounce back after suffering a second-round TKO loss to Roman Dolidze in December 2022.
Meanwhile, Pyfer has been on a hot streak, impressing since his standout performance on ‘Dana White’s Contender Series’ in 2022. With all three of his UFC wins ending in finishes, ‘Bodybagz’ will look to continue his success.
In his last outing, Pyfer secured a second-round arm triangle submission over Abdul Razak Alhassan at UFC Fight Night 229. A victory this weekend could propel him into the middleweight rankings, as he currently sits at No.11 in the division.
The co-main event will feature a featherweight matchup between Dan Ige and Andre Fili.
Fans in the US can catch UFC Vegas 86 on ESPN+, while the event will be streamed globally on UFC Fight Pass. Viewers in the UK can watch the main event on BT Sports.
