Novak Djokovic has commended Grigor Dimitrov’s recent act of kindness towards a fan at the Open 13 tournament in Marseille.

Dimitrov’s 2024 season has begun on a positive note, with the 32-year-old clinching his ninth career title at the Brisbane International after a six-year drought.

Currently competing at the 2024 Open 13 in Marseille, France, Dimitrov showcased his prowess by defeating American Sebastian Korda 6-1, 7-6 (5) to advance to the quarterfinals, where he is set to face local favorite Arthur Rinderknech.

After his victory, Dimitrov took time to interact with fans in the stadium. A particularly heartwarming moment occurred when he climbed into the stands to meet a differently abled fan. In a touching gesture, the Bulgarian gifted his wristband to the fan and took a selfie together.

The gesture caught the attention of Novak Djokovic, who praised Dimitrov for his kind act on his Instagram story. Djokovic, who has faced Dimitrov 13 times on tour, has consistently shown admiration for the former World No. 3.

This sentiment was evident following their meeting in the final of the 2023 Paris Masters, where Djokovic comforted Dimitrov after his defeat, halting his on-court interview to do so.
