Alex de Minaur’s girlfriend Katie Boulter had a playful reaction to the Aussie’s quirky dance moves following his victory over Gael Monfils at the Ultimate Tennis Showdown in Oslo.
The Ultimate Tennis Showdown (UTS), conceptualized by Patrick Mouratoglou, former coach to tennis stars like Serena Williams and Simona Halep, features De Minaur among its eight contenders in the Oslo event from February 9 to 11.
Dubbed “The Demon” and currently ranked 11th globally, De Minaur faced off against Gaël Monfils, known as “La Monf,” in his initial round-robin match, securing a victory with scores of 15-12, 17-8, and 16-9.
However, it was De Minaur’s celebratory dance that captured attention. The Australian’s moves, characterized by placing one hand on his hip and the other on his head while swaying his hips, garnered much applause.
Sharing the video of De Minaur’s dance on her Instagram story, Boulter, Britain’s top-ranked women’s singles player at No. 48, humorously commented, “Someone come to get their boy because he’s not mine.”
The couple, who began dating in 2020, frequently showcase their affection and support for each other on social media.
Meanwhile, De Minaur finds himself in Group B alongside Andrey Rublev, Benoit Paire, and the now-disqualified Monfils, who was replaced by Lucas Pouille due to inappropriate conduct toward the tournament supervisor.
