Darts sensation Luke Littler has unveiled his ultimate Manchester United five-a-side lineup, comprised of players he’s had the thrill of watching live.
The 17-year-old has been making waves in the darts world, recently captivating audiences with his performances at the World Championship and the Bahrain Darts Masters, where he clinched victory.
Despite his darts success, Littler remains a devoted Manchester United supporter. He had the privilege of witnessing the team’s matches firsthand, including a memorable 2-2 draw against Tottenham from the director’s box at Old Trafford.
Moreover, he had the honor of meeting the iconic Sir Alex Ferguson and engaging in a darts challenge with United’s first-team players at Carrington training ground. Notably, Littler also received a congratulatory message from former United star David Beckham during his remarkable run at the World Championship.
Born in 2007, Littler has experienced the highs and lows of being a United fan, spanning from the glory days under Ferguson to the mixed performances of recent years.
In an exclusive interview, Littler revealed his dream five-a-side squad of United players he’s witnessed live. He selected David de Gea as goalkeeper, citing the Spaniard’s remarkable performances. Alongside him, he chose defensive stalwarts Nemanja Vidic and Rio Ferdinand for their solid displays on the pitch.
In midfield, Littler opted for Bruno Fernandes, acknowledging the Portuguese playmaker’s impact and creativity. Completing the lineup is Cristiano Ronaldo, whose unforgettable moments, including a dramatic injury-time winner against Atalanta, left a lasting impression on Littler.
While Ronaldo and De Gea have since departed the club, Fernandes remains an integral part of the current squad.
Reflecting on his new partnership with boohooMAN, Littler expressed his excitement about the collaboration and his determination to achieve success both on and off the darts stage.
