Iga Swiatek’s psychologist, Daria Abramowicz, recently rejoiced in the Polish star’s triumph, securing her third consecutive Qatar Open title.
Swiatek defeated Elena Rybakina 7-6(8), 6-2 in the final, claiming her first title of the 2024 season. This victory not only marked her 18th career singles title but also maintained her remarkable 13-1 win-loss record in Doha, with her sole loss at the WTA 1000 tournament occurring in the 2020’s second round.
The four-time Grand Slam champion initially seized the Qatar Open title in 2022 by defeating Anett Kontaveit 6-2, 6-0, and successfully defended her title in 2023 by defeating Jessica Pegula 6-3, 6-0.
Swiatek’s remarkable feat also positioned her as the first player in nearly nine years to secure a WTA title three consecutive times, a milestone last achieved by Serena Williams with her third consecutive Miami Open title in 2015.
Following Swiatek’s victory, a fan account shared a photo of Abramowicz and physiotherapist Maciej Ryszczuk holding up three fingers in celebration of Swiatek’s achievement. This gesture paid homage to her third consecutive Qatar Open triumph.
In response to the fan’s post, Abramowicz took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the celebratory moment, captioning it simply with “3️⃣ 💪🏻.”
