Daly expressed hope of navigating through the next four months with the help of injections from Dr. Brian Wallace of Naples as he looks ahead to the Champions Tour Morocco event.

The incident he referred to involved a wayward second shot on the sixth hole, resulting in a challenging score of 11. Remarkably, Daly, at 57 years old, soldiered on for another 10 holes before reluctantly withdrawing from the tournament.
This setback adds to Daly’s history of grappling with injuries in recent years, including a knee injury that sidelined him from the PGA Championship the previous year.
Despite his struggles, Daly remains a beloved figure among golf enthusiasts for his down-to-earth demeanor and unorthodox approach to the game, which defies the conventional norms of golf.
However, it’s clear that Daly’s days of contending in major tournaments are behind him, overshadowed by ongoing health issues. As for the Chubb Classic, adverse weather conditions forced the tournament to conclude after just 36 holes. Stephen Ames emerged as the champion, securing victory three shots ahead of Rocco Mediate.
