Al-Hilal manager Jorge Jesus is confident that Cristiano Ronaldo can lead Portugal to victory in the upcoming Euros this summer. Portugal secured qualification for the tournament with an impressive record last year, led by Ronaldo’s stellar performance as the top goalscorer with 53 goals, including ten in the Euro 2024 qualifiers.
Having witnessed Ronaldo’s achievements firsthand as one of his adversaries at the club level, Jesus believes Portugal boasts some of the world’s best players, enhancing their chances in the Euros.
Speaking via the X account @TheNassrZone, Jesus emphasized Portugal’s strength, citing their talented squad as a key factor.
“Portugal is one of the biggest favorites to win the European Championship. Portugal has everything. When you have players it is easier to win. Portugal has the best players in the world,” he stated. “Look at the best teams in Europe and the number of Portuguese there.
We are one of the strongest national teams in Europe along with France. We have all the conditions to win the European Championship again.”
Under the leadership of manager Fernando Santos, Portugal clinched their first Euros title in 2016. Now, with Roberto Martinez at the helm, Portugal aims to replicate their past success in Germany.
