Liverpool is reportedly eyeing Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo as a potential replacement for Mohamed Salah in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Mbeumo, who joined Brentford from ESTAC Troyes in 2019 for close to £6 million, has been a key player for the Bees, contributing significantly to their promotion in 2021. Since the 2021-22 season, he has notched 20 goals and 19 assists in 88 league matches.

With Salah potentially attracting bids from the Saudi Pro League amid his contract expiration next June, Liverpool sees Mbeumo as a suitable successor.

According to Fichajes.net, the Reds are closely monitoring Mbeumo’s situation at Brentford, especially given the club’s struggles in the Premier League this season.

With Mbeumo’s contract expiring in June 2026, Liverpool could offer him a tempting opportunity, particularly if Brentford faces relegation. Additionally, the move could see Mbeumo increase his earnings from his current £45,000-per-week salary with the English champions.

In total, Mbeumo has amassed 190 appearances for Brentford across all competitions, contributing 48 goals and 40 assists under the guidance of manager Thomas Frank. Despite recovering from an ankle injury, the left-footed attacker remains a highly coveted prospect for potential suitors.
