In the current 2023-24 season, the 19-year-old has emerged as a vital asset for the Old Trafford side. Garnacho has featured in 35 matches, scoring seven goals and providing three assists. He was also honored as Manchester United’s Player of the Month for December.
Reflecting on the significance of Dutch manager Erik ten Hag in his rise to the first team, Garnacho expressed his gratitude.
“Erik [ten Hag] is a very good manager. He has allowed me to play every week at this club. I am grateful. He always wants me to work hard and train well every day,” Garnacho remarked.
With a decisive 89th-minute goal from Casemiro securing Manchester United’s spot in the FA Cup quarterfinals against Liverpool on March 17, the team is gearing up for a challenging fixture against Manchester City in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday, March 3.
