Al-Hilal striker Neymar has expressed his desire to reunite with his close friend Lionel Messi on the field once again.
The duo shared several successful years at Barcelona and PSG before Messi’s move to Inter Miami in the MLS and Neymar’s arrival in the Saudi Pro League last summer. Speaking about the possibility of playing alongside Messi again, Neymar stated, “Me and Messi playing together again? I hope so,
I hope we will get to play together again. He’s a great person, everyone knows him. I think he’s happy (in Miami), and if he’s happy, I’m happy too.”
Despite Neymar’s absence due to a season-ending injury, Al-Hilal continues to perform well in the Saudi Premier League, currently leading by nine points after 22 games. Neymar had made a notable contribution to the team before his injury, registering a goal and three assists in five games across competitions.
Meanwhile, Messi is embarking on his second season at Inter Miami, where he has already made an impact with a goal and an assist in two MLS games.
