USC freshman guard Bronny James’s potential decision regarding the NBA Draft is anticipated to revolve around team interest rather than draft position, as noted by Klutch Sports CEO Rich Paul in a conversation with ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski on Saturday.
Paul, who has long represented LeBron James, will serve as Bronny’s agent once he officially turns professional.
“I don’t prioritize a young player entering the lottery as much as I do, ensuring he lands with the right team in the right developmental environment,” Paul remarked.
Bronny James has maintained averages of 5.2 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in nearly 20 minutes per game at USC this season.
Initially projected to have a more significant role in the rotation, James faced setbacks after experiencing cardiac arrest during a workout last summer, which sidelined him for almost five months. He eventually returned to action in mid-December.
While LeBron James has expressed his desire to potentially team up with Bronny before retiring, he also “wants Bronny to forge his path,” Paul mentioned.
Despite not being anticipated as a lottery pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, Bronny’s progression will draw considerable attention given his basketball lineage.
