“Over the years, witnessing and experiencing this, my enthusiasm dwindles,” Vinícius lamented. “Each instance of discrimination leaves me feeling increasingly disheartened. Yet, I must face this situation head-on and stand before you today.”
Seeking support from various football governing bodies including UEFA, FIFA, CONMEBOL, and CBF, Vinícius underscored the urgency to combat racism, highlighting the absence of legal repercussions for such acts in Spain.
Addressing the media ahead of Brazil’s international friendly against Spain, Vinícius emphasized his belief in Spain’s inherent non-racist character but acknowledged the prevalence of racism within football stadiums.
