The Rock surprised fans by releasing previously unseen footage of his attack on Cody Rhodes during Monday Night Raw, in a post on X this past Friday.
In his post, accompanied by a detailed message, The Rock shared a video of himself relentlessly berating and striking Rhodes with a weight belt, even after being informed by a producer that Raw had concluded. The video and post contain explicit language.
Expressing his disdain for constraints and rules, The Rock exclaimed, “I hate constraints and bullshit rules – and just because some @wwe producer says, ‘clear’ (meaning, we are no longer live on the air and the show is over) that doesn’t mean I just stop whatever I’m doing and tell everyone great job.” He voiced his frustration at being told to cease his actions abruptly.
After receiving the signal that the broadcast was over, The Rock defiantly declared, “F–k that,” and directed expletives towards Rhodes as he departed, leaving Cody visibly battered and bloodied.

During Monday’s Raw, The Rock made an unanticipated appearance, catching everyone off guard as he wasn’t listed in the lineup.
Interrupting Rhodes’ opening promo, The Rock approached him without uttering a word into the mic. Instead, he whispered something to Cody, flashed a smile, and then exited, leaving spectators intrigued by his mysterious words.
Later in the evening, during the main event featuring Jey Uso against Shinsuke Nakamura, tensions escalated as Bloodline members Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa made their presence felt at ringside. Rhodes and Seth Rollins rushed to the rescue.
Amidst the chaos, Jimmy and Cody brawled backstage, providing The Rock with the opportunity to strike. The People’s Champ ambushed The American Nightmare from behind, assaulting him with a garbage can and forcibly ejecting him from the arena. He proceeded to slam Cody into his own tour bus repeatedly, resulting in visible facial injuries.
In a provocative act, The Rock smeared Cody’s blood on a belt inscribed with “Mama Rhodes,” seizing the moment to taunt both Cody and his mother.
This shocking turn of events injected significant anticipation into the main event of Night 1 of WrestleMania 40, where The Rock and undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns are set to team up against Rhodes and Rollins.
The stakes are high, as a victory for Rhodes and Rollins would prohibit The Bloodline from interfering in the Night 2 main event between Rhodes and Reigns. Conversely, a win for The Rock and Reigns would dictate that the Night 2 main event be contested under Bloodline rules.
While The Rock’s unexpected heel turn has taken many by surprise, it has undeniably generated immense interest among fans, setting the stage for a highly anticipated WrestleMania showdown.
