One of the Patriots’ important defensive players is looking forward to some positive changes under the team’s new head coach.
Linebacker Matthew Judon mentioned in a recent interview with WEEI that he believes Jerod Mayo will excel after his promotion this offseason.
“I think our defense had many good moments during the season,” Judon stated. “And I believe Mayo will be an excellent head coach for us, providing support and helping us improve.”
“It’s a new situation. Everything feels new,” Judon added, expressing his satisfaction with the return of familiar faces like Josh Uche and Anfernee Jennings, who re-signed with the Patriots.
Judon’s 2023 season was limited to just four games due to a torn biceps muscle. In those games, he recorded 4.0 sacks, five tackles for loss, and nine quarterback hits.
