Dallas Mavericks star player Luka Doncic won’t be playing in an important game in the Western Conference playoff race due to soreness in his right knee. This comes as the Mavericks aim to secure a spot in the top six in the West playoffs.
The game against the Golden State Warriors marks the second time they’ve faced each other in four days. The Mavericks won their previous game against Atlanta.
The schedule was adjusted due to postponed games earlier in the season after the passing of assistant coach Dejan Milojevic in January.
Originally, the Mavericks and Warriors were supposed to play in Dallas on Tuesday, but it got moved to Friday.
Doncic has been pivotal for the Mavericks, averaging high numbers in points, assists, and rebounds. However, the team has had to adjust without him on the court before.
The playoff race in the Western Conference remains tight, with several teams vying for the remaining spots. The Warriors, who are also playing a back-to-back, are close to securing a place in the play-in tournament.
