Zion Williamson amazed New Orleans fans with his powerful plays, like his game-tying layup against Lakers’ Anthony Davis. However, the excitement turned to concern when Williamson left the game due to a left leg injury.

Despite his impressive performance of 40 points and 11 rebounds in his first postseason appearance, his early departure left both him and the team worried. Pelicans guard CJ McCollum expressed disappointment, highlighting Williamson’s impactful presence in the game.

Williamson’s condition remained uncertain as he awaited imaging, with a crucial match against Sacramento looming to determine their playoff seeding.

Williamson, who faced many injuries in his early career, managed to stay healthy in his fifth year in the league. Playing in 70 games, he led the Pelicans with an average of 22.9 points per game.

In his first postseason game, Williamson impressed for about 45 minutes, showcasing his skills against tough opponents like Davis and James. He displayed his finesse around the basket, using various techniques to score, including layups off the glass and powerful dunks.

Even in the final seconds of the first half, he managed to score a difficult shot.

Veteran forward Larry Nance Jr. praised Williamson’s performance, stating that it showed why he was the top pick in the 2019 NBA Draft. James also commended Williamson, calling him a “generational player” with the potential for greatness in the future.

He highlighted Williamson’s fearlessness and competitiveness on the court, labeling him as a star player.
