Graham Nicholson, who earned the Lou Groza Award for being the top placekicker in the country, is set to transfer to Alabama.
The former Miami of Ohio All-American made his announcement on social media last Sunday.
Crimson Tide coach Kalen DeBoer needs a new kicker after Will Reichard, who holds the NCAA record for most points scored, departed.
Nicholson had an impressive record at Miami of Ohio, making 27 out of 28 field goals and nearly all of his extra-point attempts last season. He also set a career-long with a 52-yard field goal against Bowling Green.
With 113 points last season, Nicholson ranked fourth in program history. Additionally, he holds the record for the highest field goal percentage in Miami’s history, at 84.5%.
