Tyrese Haliburton, a guard for the Indiana Pacers, shared that a fan used a racial slur against his younger brother during Game 1 of the playoff series against the Milwaukee Bucks.

“After our 125-108 victory over the Bucks in Game 2 on Tuesday night, Haliburton talked about the incident, saying, “My little brother was called an N-word in the stands the other day.”

“It was important for our family to address this,” Haliburton added. “It didn’t sit right with anyone in our family. Having my family here has been crucial, and my little brother handled it well.”

When asked about Haliburton’s remarks, the Bucks responded by saying, “During Sunday’s game, a few guests were seated in the wrong seats.

An arena staff member asked them to move, and one person in the group claimed that someone in front of him used a derogatory term. The accused person denied it. The group moved, and there were no further issues.”

Haliburton, who is from Oshkosh, Wisconsin, made his playoff debut in his home state. Oshkosh is about 90 miles northwest of Milwaukee.

The Bucks won Game 1, 109-94, before the Pacers tied the series in Game 2. Game 3 will be held in Indianapolis on Friday.
