Giannis Antetokounmpo won’t play in Game 3 of the playoff series against Indiana on Friday night. However, Khris Middleton, who is an All-Star player, will be in the starting lineup.
Middleton participated in pregame workouts, demonstrating to coaches and team doctors that he could move well.
He has been performing well in the first two games, averaging 19 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5 assists.
Despite spraining his right ankle in Game 2, he continued playing.
Although Antetokounmpo showed some improvement during practice, he avoided intense workouts. The Bucks confirmed on Friday that he would miss another game. He has been out since April 9 due to a strained left calf.
The series is currently tied 1-1. Indiana is hoping to take the lead in a playoff series for the first time since 2018.
