Max Kepler again brought home the winning run in the ninth inning, this time with a sacrifice fly, as the Minnesota Twins secured their ninth consecutive victory, edging past the Chicago White Sox 6-5 on Tuesday night.

This winning streak is the longest for the Twins since they won 10 games in a row back in June 2008. They have also managed to clinch their seventh straight win against the White Sox and are now eyeing another sweep after taking four games at Target Field last week. However, this game was quite challenging.

Manager Rocco Baldelli praised his team’s versatility, stating that they can win games in various ways. Despite the challenges, he finds it enjoyable to watch his team from the dugout.

Andrew Benintendi’s home run in the eighth inning for the White Sox tied the game at 5 after the Twins scored twice in the top half. However, the Twins secured the win in the ninth inning.

Byron Buxton’s walk and Manuel Margot’s single set the stage for Max Kepler, who had also delivered a key hit in Monday’s game, to score the go-ahead run with a sacrifice fly.

In the bottom half of the ninth, Jhoan Duran maneuvered around a leadoff single by Tommy Pham to secure the save, marking his return to the team after missing the first 28 games due to injury. Caleb Thielbar recorded the final two outs in the eighth inning.
