Bo Bichette hit four times, including three doubles, José Berríos pitched well for six innings to end a four-game winless streak, and the Toronto Blue Jays won their first consecutive games in more than three weeks by defeating the struggling Chicago White Sox 9-3 on Monday.

Daulton Varsho and Danny Jansen each hit a two-run homer, and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. got on base three times and drove in a run as Toronto won two games in a row for the first time since April 28 and 29, when they beat the Dodgers and Kansas City at home.

“We’re fighting hard and competing every day to win,” said Jansen. “I like our style of play lately.”

The Blue Jays have now won eight games in a row against the White Sox, a streak that goes back to 2022.

Bichette was struggling with a 0-for-12 streak, but he broke out of it in a big way. He scored after doubling in the second inning, singled in the third, brought in a run with another double in the sixth, and added yet another double in the seventh.

Berríos (5-3) gave up three runs and eight hits to secure his first win since beating San Diego on April 20. He struck out six and walked two.

“He’s always a tough challenge, and today was no different,” said White Sox manager Pedro Grifol. Varsho’s two-run homer off White Sox right-hander Erick Fedde in the second gave the Blue Jays a 2-1 lead, his eighth of the season.

“It’s big to regain the lead, especially with José on the mound,” said Blue Jays manager John Schneider. Fedde (4-1) allowed five runs and seven hits in six innings for his first loss of the season. He walked one and struck out two. “They had a plan against me,” Fedde said. “I thought they were really aggressive.”
