Tyler Glasnow pitched well for seven innings, Shohei Ohtani hit another home run against his former team, and the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the Los Angeles Angels 7-2 on Saturday night, splitting the Freeway Series.

Ohtani hit a two-run homer in Friday’s game and continued his strong performance with a 459-foot home run in the third inning on Saturday, giving the Dodgers a 3-0 lead. This was the second-longest home run at Dodger Stadium this season, adding to Ohtani’s impressive record with eight of the top 10 longest homers there.

Glasnow commented on Ohtani’s home runs, saying, “I feel like everyone’s reaction is always like, ‘Wow!’ It’s very entertaining for us.”

Ohtani has been performing exceptionally well, matching Reggie Smith’s Dodgers record from 1978 with at least a run and an RBI in seven consecutive games. Since moving to the leadoff spot last Monday, he has been on a roll with 11 hits, including seven extra-base hits.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts praised Ohtani’s recent form, saying, “The last few weeks, there hasn’t been anyone better. It definitely doesn’t get old.”

Gavin Lux also contributed to the Dodgers’ offense with a solo home run in the third inning against Zach Plesac (1-1), ending a streak of 32 games without a home run.

Angels manager Ron Washington acknowledged the Dodgers’ strong performance, stating, “What I saw is a pretty good team that showed their power, showed their might. They did what they do.”
