Angel Reese scored a career-best 25 points and grabbed 16 rebounds to help the Chicago Sky defeat Indiana 88-87, despite Caitlin Clark’s franchise-record 13 assists on Sunday.
Reese has now recorded a double-double in eight consecutive games, extending her WNBA rookie record. She became the first rookie since A’ja Wilson to achieve 25 points and 15 rebounds in a single game. This season, she joins Wilson as the only players in the WNBA to have multiple games with at least 15 points and 15 rebounds.
According to Vivid Seats, it was the most sought-after ticket in nearly a decade, with an average entry price of $351. Reese, Clark, and both teams delivered an exciting game.
Clark played the entire game, shooting 5-of-11 and 5-of-9 from 3-point range, adding six rebounds, four steals, and five turnovers.
Chicago (6-9) trailed 82-70 with 6:38 remaining before Reese sparked a comeback. She scored 10 points and grabbed five rebounds during that stretch.
Reese’s offensive rebound, putback, and free throw tied the game at 82 with 3 minutes left. After Kelsey Mitchell’s layup, Chennedy Carter tied it again with a floating shot. Reese’s inside score gave the Sky a two-point lead, and free throws by Carter and Camilla Cardoso made it 88-84 with 27 seconds remaining.
Aliyah Boston hit a contested 3-pointer with 19 seconds left, but Marina Mabrey missed two free throws. Clark grabbed the rebound, but the Fever missed two shots in the final seconds.
Mitchell led the Fever with 24 points, while Boston contributed 18 points, seven rebounds, and six assists, and NaLyssa Smith scored 12 points.
