The Minnesota Vikings have two draft picks who haven’t signed yet, but one of them will sign soon.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, quarterback J.J. McCarthy has agreed to a deal with the team. He was the 10th overall pick and will sign a four-year contract worth $21.85 million.

This includes a $12.71 million signing bonus. The Vikings also have the option to keep him for a fifth season.

Dallas Turner, another first-round pick for Minnesota, has not signed yet. However, with McCarthy’s deal done, it’s likely Turner will also reach an agreement before Vikings rookies start training camp on Sunday.

Now that McCarthy’s contract is settled, he will focus on competing with Sam Darnold for the starting quarterback position. Darnold is currently the starter, but McCarthy was drafted early in the first round and is eager to prove himself on the field.
