Tennessee Titans cornerback Chidobe Awuzie will miss a couple of weeks of training camp due to a calf injury, coach Brian Callahan said on Thursday.

The Titans also made a few roster changes. They added outside linebacker Shane Ray, a 2015 first-round pick of the Denver Broncos who participated in Tennessee’s rookie minicamp on a tryout basis. The team also brought back center Corey Levin, a 2017 draft pick who played with them for the past three seasons.

To make space, they waived undrafted rookie running back Dillon Johnson on Thursday.

Outside linebacker Harold Landry has missed the first two days of camp because of an illness. Callahan mentioned that Landry will be gradually worked back into practice once he returns.

Awuzie was one of the Titans’ major free agent signings this offseason.

The team signed him away from the Cincinnati Bengals, but he left the field early on the first day of training camp on Wednesday.

“Chido is going to miss some time with a calf injury. It’ll be a couple of weeks, probably. He’s out here, but he’s not practicing,” Callahan said.

Awuzie is part of the Titans’ newly updated cornerback group, along with L’Jarius Sneed.

The Titans are managing Sneed’s practice schedule carefully. Sneed, who was acquired in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs, was present on the practice field Thursday but did not participate in any 7-on-7 or team drills.

“In Kansas City, I didn’t do camp at all, but here I’m trying to work into camp and get into it,” Sneed said. “They have a plan for me. They have days where I did what I did today, and days I just practice. It’s a pretty good schedule they’ve got me on.”
