Paris Saint-Germain is managing well without Kylian Mbappe.
On Friday, PSG defeated Montpellier 6-0, winning their second game in a row in the French league since Mbappe moved to Real Madrid this offseason.
Many people thought PSG might struggle for the league title after losing their top player, but so far, that hasn’t happened. The team has scored 10 goals in their first two matches.
Bradley Barcola scored first with a shot from close range just three minutes into the game, and Marco Asensio added another goal with a low shot after a pass from João Neves. Neves, who joined from Benfica, has now assisted three times in two games.
Ousmane Dembélé set up Barcola for an easy goal early in the second half, Achraf Hakimi scored with a volley to make it 4-0 in the 57th minute, and Warren Zaïre-Emery added another goal shortly after.
Lee Kang-in, a substitute, scored his second goal in two games to complete the 6-0 win.
Montpellier has earned just one point from their first two games.
