Midfielders Jude Bellingham and Aurélien Tchouaméni will be ready for Real Madrid’s Champions League opener after missing the Spanish league game this weekend, coach Carlo Ancelotti confirmed on Monday.

Ancelotti also mentioned that central defender Éder Militão, who did not practice on Monday, will be fit to play against Stuttgart on Tuesday at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“Bellingham is okay, as well as Tchouaméni and Militão, even though he didn’t train today,” Ancelotti said. “He just needed an extra day to recover.”

Bellingham, who has been dealing with a foot injury, hasn’t played since Madrid’s Spanish league opener at Mallorca in August. His only other appearance this season was in the UEFA Super Cup final against Atalanta.

Tchouaméni was also recovering from a foot injury and missed the team’s 2-0 win against Real Sociedad on Saturday.

Militão played against Sociedad but did not train with the team on Monday due to a knee issue.

“He did some individual work but he will be fully ready for the match tomorrow,” Ancelotti added.

Forward Brahim Díaz will not be available as he had to leave the game against Sociedad in the first half due to a right leg muscle injury.

Madrid is coming off a record-extending 15th European title last season.

This will be the team’s first Champions League match since signing France star Kylian Mbappé, who is expected to start on Tuesday.
