Rain interrupted much of the second day of the BMW Ladies Championship in South Korea on Friday, and none of the players were able to finish their rounds.
Hannah Green from Australia, Ashleigh Buhai from South Africa, and Jenny Shin from South Korea were in the lead after the first round on Thursday, each scoring 8-under 64 at Seowon Valley Country Club.
Green remained in first place and was 4 under after nine holes—12 under for the tournament—when play was halted. Buhai was two strokes back at 10 under, also after nine holes.
The second round will be finished on Saturday before the third round begins. The forecast shows no rain for the rest of the tournament, which will conclude on Sunday.
The tournament features eight of the top 10 players on the LPGA Tour and includes 17 of the 18 winners from this season. The only major player not participating is American Nelly Korda, who withdrew due to a neck injury.
