Real Madrid goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is likely to miss Saturday’s “clasico” against Barcelona because of a muscle injury he got in Tuesday’s Champions League game.
Courtois has “an adductor injury in his left leg,” the team announced on Wednesday.
The Belgian goalkeeper had already been dealing with an abductor injury recently. He missed much of last season due to an ACL injury.
Rodrygo is also expected to be absent for the Clasico, coach Carlo Ancelotti mentioned on Tuesday after the forward was taken out of the game in the 85th minute during Madrid’s 5-2 win over Borussia Dortmund.
Madrid is three points behind Barcelona in the Spanish league standings.
