Manchester United winger Antony is being evaluated by doctors after injuring his left leg during the match against Fenerbahce in the Europa League.
The Brazilian player left Ulker Stadium in Istanbul on crutches and wearing a protective boot on Thursday night.
United’s manager, Erik ten Hag, said it would take 24 hours to fully determine how serious the injury is.
“It’s really unlucky for him,” Ten Hag said on Friday. “I feel real compassion for him, especially since he worked so hard in training.”
Antony came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute of the 1-1 draw but had to leave the field on a stretcher in the 89th minute after he fell and held his left leg.
The forward, who joined from Ajax in 2022 for a transfer fee of $95 million, has made only one start and four substitute appearances this season.
United will face West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday, with captain Bruno Fernandes returning after missing the Fenerbahce match due to suspension.
