Buddy Hield kept up his great start by scoring a game-high 27 points, while Stephen Curry added 20 as the Golden State Warriors easily defeated the Utah Jazz 127-86 on Friday in Salt Lake City.

Andrew Wiggins grabbed a game-high 13 rebounds and scored 10 points, and Trayce Jackson-Davis contributed 12 points and nine rebounds, helping the Warriors start their season with two wins on the road. They had already beaten the Portland Trail Blazers 140-104 on Wednesday.

Brandin Podziemski scored 15 points, Moses Moody added 12, and Kevon Looney helped out with nine points and 10 rebounds from the bench.

For the Jazz, John Collins scored 14 points, Lauri Markkanen had 13, Keyonte George and Collin Sexton each scored 12, and Jordan Clarkson added 11. The Jazz finished their two-game homestand without a win, starting with a 126-124 loss to the Memphis Grizzlies on Wednesday.

The Warriors struggled at first, getting only four points in the first 4:45 of the game and falling behind by nine. However, Hield led a mostly backup group that quickly turned the game around for Golden State.

Hield made two 3-pointers and scored eight points, while Curry and Moody also hit some long shots, leading the team to a strong 28-11 run at the end of the quarter, giving them an eight-point lead.

Acquired from Philadelphia in a trade that sent Klay Thompson to Dallas, Hield scored 16 points in the second quarter and finished the first half with 24 points, making 9 of 11 shots and 6 of 7 from three-point range.

Golden State was ahead 56-42 at halftime and smoothly played through the second half, with all 14 players on the roster participating for the second game in a row.

Hield, who scored 22 points in his first game with the Warriors, performed even better this time, hitting 7 of 9 three-pointers and 10 of 14 overall.

He also recorded a game-high six assists as Golden State ended the game with 35 assists on 51 baskets. The Warriors made 20 of 50 three-point attempts.

Curry hit only four of 13 three-point shots, but Wiggins, Moody, and Lindy Waters III each contributed two three-pointers alongside Hield.

Utah managed just 9 of 42 from beyond the arc (21.4 percent). George made three out of eight attempts, and Brice Sensabaugh made two out of seven.

Walker Kessler was Utah’s top rebounder with nine, along with just two points. Collins had seven rebounds and a team-high four assists, in addition to his team-high point total.
