Penn State quarterback Drew Allar is not on the injury report for Saturday and is expected to play in the important game against No. 4 Ohio State, which is visiting No. 3 Penn State.

Head coach James Franklin mentioned to reporters on Monday that they would be checking on Allar’s injured left knee right up until the game.

Allar was fully involved during Wednesday’s media practice session.

He got hurt late in the first half of last Saturday’s 28-13 win against Wisconsin. Although he warmed up for the second half, he was replaced by sophomore Beau Pribula.

Before leaving the game, Allar completed 14 of 18 passes for 148 yards and a touchdown. Pribula stepped in and went 11 of 13 for 98 yards and one touchdown, with neither quarterback throwing an interception against Wisconsin.

The Nittany Lions, who are 7-0 and 4-0 in the Big Ten, have lost their last seven games against the Buckeyes, who are 6-1 and 3-1 in the conference. Ohio State recently bounced back from a close loss to Oregon with a 21-17 victory over Nebraska on Saturday.

Allar, in his junior year, has a completion rate of 71.3 percent this season, totaling 1,640 yards with 12 touchdowns and four interceptions over seven starts.
