Naz Reid came off the bench to score 25 points and grab nine rebounds, leading the Minnesota Timberwolves to a 114-93 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night in Minneapolis.

Anthony Edwards added 21 points, shooting 6-for-11 from the field and 4-for-6 from 3-point range. Donte DiVincenzo contributed 14 points off the bench, and Julius Randle scored 13 points.

LaMelo Ball led the Hornets with 19 points on 6-for-15 shooting. Three other Charlotte players scored 10 points each: Brandon Miller, Miles Bridges, and Tre Mann.

The Timberwolves shot 49.4 percent (39 of 79) from the field and 47.4 percent (18 of 38) from beyond the arc. The Hornets made 39.8 percent (35 of 88) of their shots and only 23.8 percent (10 of 42) from 3-point range.

Minnesota entered the fourth quarter with a 91-71 lead after outscoring the Hornets 34-26 in the third. Ball made two free throws to bring the score to 82-71 with 58.1 seconds left in the third quarter.

The Timberwolves then went on a 9-0 run in the final 58 seconds of the third, increasing their lead to 20 points. Reid started the run with a 3-pointer with 44.2 seconds left and added two free throws. DiVincenzo capped it off with a 3-pointer as time expired to make it a 20-point game.

Minnesota extended their lead further in the fourth quarter, starting with an 11-2 run that pushed their advantage to 102-73 with 7:37 remaining.

The Timberwolves led 57-45 at halftime, with Edwards scoring 16 points before the break. Miller led Charlotte with 10 points.

The game was tied at 24 at the end of the first quarter, but Minnesota surged ahead in the second, outscoring the Hornets 33-21 to take a double-digit lead into the locker room. Edwards hit a step-back 3-pointer with 1:30 left in the first half to give the Timberwolves a 55-40 lead.
